ABOUT ME
I am Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics/TESOL at Texas A&M University-Commerce. I earned my Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition/Instructional Technology from the University of South Florida in 2014. I am an enthusiastic educator who has taught a range of linguistics, TESOL, and ESL/EFL courses. My research areas focus on second language writing, computer assisted language learning, and language teacher education. My work has appeared in Journal of Second Language Writing (JSLW), Computer Assisted Language Learning, Language Learning & Technology (LLT), System, Language Teaching, Computers & Education, Computers and Composition (CC), and Journal of Computers in Education, among others. I am currently Associate Editor for JSLW and Forum Editor for LLT. I also serve on the Editorial Boards of CC and IJCALLT. I have co-edited the 2017 special issue on "Second language writing in the age of computer mediated communication" and is co-editing the 2022 special issue on “L2 writing assessment in the digital age” for JSLW. My first monograph (with Palgrave Macmillan) entitled "Researching and Teaching Second Language Writing in the Digital Age" was published in early 2022.
