My teaching career begins with English language teaching, and now mainly involves language teacher education/training. I have successfully taught over twenty courses  face-to-face, online, or via dual modality. My courses aim to develop students’ linguistics/applied linguistics knowledge and professional competence, as well as research, writing, and digital literacy skills. I have done my utmost to create a dedicated learning environment in which students are placed as the center of instruction and I play an active role in facilitating and scaffolding their learning. I love to “teach with students” (Reich, 1983). My students and I reciprocate speech and thought; we cherish the contest between ideas. I teach to fan the sparks and to create new possibilities. The ultimate goal of my lifelong teaching is that I can feel the love (magic) for the students who walk into my life and begin to breathe, and I find myself catching my breath together with them (Beidler, 2002).
